NOTE: Due to the complex geography of the Cantons of Switzerland I have chosen to combine
the 26 cantons into 6 more manageable regions. The selection I have made was chosen at random.
Its only purpose is to ease my job at documenting the airfields of Switzerland.

The 6 regions consist of the following cantons:

North: Jura, Basel (city and country), Solothurn, Aargau, Zurich

Northeast: Schaffhausen, Thurgau, Appenzell (both Rhoden), St. Gallen, Glarus

West: Neuchâtel, Vaud, Fribourg, Geneva

South-Central: Bern, Valais (Wallis)

Central: Lucerne, Zug, Schwyz, Unterwalden (Obwalden & Nidwalden), Uri

Southeast: Graubünden (Grisons), Ticino
